Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Award in Vehicle Immobilisation

In England all wheel-clampers operating on private land must be individually licensed by the Security Industry Authority. Wheel clamping in such circumstances without a valid SIA license, or in breach of it's conditions (which include displaying ID at all times), is a criminal offence under the Private Security Industry Act, 2001.

The Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Award in Vehicle Immobilisation training course has been designed to meet the legally required wheel clamping training needs of vehicle immobilisers (wheel clampers) who are employed by large and small wheel clamping companies and wheel clamping operators in the vehicle immobilisation sector. This is a four-day wheel clamping training course comprising two units.

The Vehicle Immobilisation Award is a nationally recognised wheel clamping qualification in the industry standard and will enable you to apply to the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for a licence to work as a vehicle immobiliser (wheel-clamper).

Persons involved in wheel clamping/vehicle immobilisation including managers and wheel clamping operatives MUST obtain a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
